Firearms Transfers Made Easy

LongRange Tactical provides fast, compliant firearm transfers throughout the state of Michigan. We handle both inbound and outbound transfers to and from licensed FFL dealers across the U.S., ensuring every transaction is secure, professional, and hassle-free.

Procedures for Incoming Transfers

If you purchase a firearm online and would like LongRange Tactical to handle the incoming transfer, please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth process:

A. Notify Us
Email us at support@longrange-tactical.com once you’ve completed your purchase. Include:

  • Your full name, phone number, and email address

  • The seller’s name and contact information

  • The firearm’s make and model

B. Complete Your Purchase
Pay the seller directly for your firearm. LongRange Tactical does not accept payment on behalf of third-party sellers.

C. Provide Our FFL
Give the seller a copy of our FFL by clicking here: LongRange Tactical’s Federal Firearms License (FFL) or direct them to our website to download it.
If the seller requires direct confirmation from us before shipping, please provide their contact details so we can coordinate. Delays caused by missing information are the customer’s responsibility.

D. Ensure Proper Documentation
The seller must include a copy of their FFL in the shipment.
If the seller is a private individual (non-FFL), they must include a copy of their driver’s license, along with your name and contact information.

E. Pickup Notification
We’ll notify you as soon as your firearm arrives and is ready for pickup following all required background checks.

Transfer Fee: $40 for long gun and handgun. Includes N.I.C.S. Check $15 for any additional firearm on the same form. $25 transfer fee for returning customers. Additional shipping fees apply if applicable.

Shipping Service:

  • We ship all handguns FedEx 2-Day Air Express. All long guns ship FedEx Ground.
  • Shipping Fees vary by destination, dimension, and weight (typically does not exceed $45).
  • Service includes packing and tracking – just drop off your firearm(s), copy of your ID, and recipient FFL dealer info and you’re done! You will receive shipping and tracking information via email.
  • All outbound shipments are processed on Mondays.

FFL Transfer Terms and Conditions:

Pick-Up & Drop-Off
Firearms may be dropped off or picked up during posted business hours. Please ensure you bring valid identification and any required documentation for your transaction.

Background Checks
All background checks are completed at the time of firearm pickup, as required by federal and state law.

Storage Fees
If a transferred firearm remains at LongRange Tactical more than 10 days after you’ve been notified of its arrival, a $5 per day storage fee will be applied, retroactive to the notification date. All transfer, shipping, and storage fees must be paid in full before any firearm is released.

Abandoned Transfers
Firearms not claimed within 30 calendar days of arrival — and without prior arrangements made — will be considered abandoned. Abandoned firearms may be retained or disposed of at the discretion of Long Range Tactical in accordance with ATF regulations.

Returned or Cancelled Transfers
If a customer chooses to cancel a transfer or return a firearm to the seller, all return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. An additional $25 processing fee will apply to cover documentation of the firearm’s acquisition and disposition.

Shipping to Licensed FFL Dealers
All firearms must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). Verification of the receiving dealer’s license is required prior to shipment.

Firearm Inspection
All incoming and outgoing firearms are inspected upon receipt. LongRange Tactical is not responsible for defects, damage, or malfunctions in firearms transferred to or from third parties.
